Lake Joondalup Baptist College is a co-educational College established in 1990, with the addition, at the start of 1997, of a Primary School, which now has classes for Kindergarten to Year 7. The College is a non-profit organisation, which exists to provide a low-fee, independent education within the context of the Christian faith. The College relies on income from families in the form of fees as well as recurrent funding from the State and Commonwealth Governments. A portion of fees each year is used for capital projects.

Opportunities
for Parental Participation (PPP)
The PPP program: • identifies and gives open recognition to the range of assistance normally provided by parents in independent schools; • spreads the workload more evenly, helping to avoid the stress arising from the "And am I expected to help in this too?" feeling; • permits a closer match between parent skills and the tasks to be done; • demonstrates to all students that each parent has skills worth contributing, and has a personal commitment to the College; • avoids the pressure and distraction of large scale fundraising; • enables parents and College staff to meet each other.
