Society and Environment is an innovative and dynamic learning area with an increasing outcomes focus, cross curricula links with English, and enrichment classes for students needing extra help.

Years 8 and 9 focus on History, Geography, Law and Asian Studies. The curriculum for year 10 contains distinct subjects in History, Economics, Geography and Civics. It is taught by subject specialists and students’ work is produced in a great variety of ways. These include:

Collages, timelines, business proposals, web pages, cartoons, election speeches, posters,  ecosystems and urban plans.

Upper school opportunities include History, Geography and Economics. Curriculum Council prescribed content is supplemented by guest speakers, excursions and field trips.

Students participate in annual ANZAC day assemblies and Proclamation Day activities.
