The Upper Primary program includes Year 4, 5 and 6 students. Upper Primary children are taught by one teacher for most of the time, while the involvement of several teachers begins to prepare students for the Secondary environment.

During the Upper Primary years, there is an emphasis on:
        • increasing personal responsibility
        • friendships and respectful relationships
        • enthusiasm for learning
        • developing a sense of pride in their efforts
        • celebration of achievements
        • preparation for secondary schooling

Upper Primary students enjoy learning in a modern, purpose built centre. The Eight Learning Areas of The Arts, English, Health & Physical Education, Languages (Indonesian and Japanese), Mathematics, Science, Studies of Society & Environment, Technology & Enterprise, and are taught in a range of contexts. Teachers develop thematic units of work, which integrate many of the Learning Areas, which students find stimulating, contextualised and fun. Literacy and Numeracy underpin student learning and are applied to all areas of the curriculum. Special events, excursions and camps enrich the curriculum. As students move from Year 4 to Year 6 there is increased specialisation, especially in the areas of Science and Society & Environment. Library research skills are emphasised and students in Year 4, 5 and 6 also participate in Drama, Music, Physical and Health Education, Visual Arts and Languages, taught by specialist teachers. After school Mathematics and English tutoring classes are offered one afternoon per week. All Upper Primary students continue their study of Christian Education.
