Each year Lake Joondalup Baptist College is proud to offer a limited number of bursaries and scholarships. The College seeks to ensure that the process of application is rigorous and that any fee relief is awarded with equity, confidentiality, and compassion and that the College’s mission of “Seek wisdom, act justly, love mercy” is promoted at all times.
Financial Hardship Bursary
All students enrolled in Kindergarten through to Year 12 and currently attending the College are eligible to apply for a Financial Hardship Bursary. Parents may apply for the Financial Hardship Bursary where there is a significant change in their circumstances (for example, a reduction in earnings or a redundancy) which could not reasonably have been foreseen at the time of entry into the College. Financial assistance is on a demonstrable needs basis and is for one year only. All applications for financial assistance are means-tested. When considering such applications account will also be taken of the pupil’s contribution to the life of the College.
Financial Hardship Bursary recipients receive up to a 50% discount on tuition fees and families are to contribute the other. The bursary does not cover subject levies and additional charges such as swimming lessons, excursions, camps and levies. The bursary is awarded for a period of one (1) academic year.
To apply, families are required to fill in the Application for a Financial Hardship Bursary form and provide all necessary supporting documentation. Due to the confidential nature of information required, it is compulsory for Bursary applications to be emailed to Bursaries@ljbc.wa.edu.au with all supporting documentation included. This is to avoid sensitive information potentially going missing in the mail.
There is a limited number of bursaries available and the decision of the Panel, in association with the College Principal regarding the awarding of a bursary, is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Lake Joondalup Baptist College is proud to offer a range of scholarships for academic accomplishment, high performance and general excellence.
