Bursaries and Scholarships
At Lake Joondalup Baptist College, we encourage our students to strive for excellence. Our Purpose is to nurture young people to discover and confidently express their unique God-given gifts in service of their community.
We are delighted to offer a limited number of scholarships and bursaries, which are available to new as well as currently enrolled students. Applications for Scholarships are open to students for Years 7-11. Applications for Bursaries are available for students from Kindy-Year 12.
Lake Joondalup Baptist College offers a limited number of Opportunity Bursaries, which have been created to provide opportunities for students for whom we believe would benefit from joining the LJBC community for their education. We encourage applications for the children of past students.
Some Financial Assistance Bursaries will continue to be available for families who are eligible to be considered (criteria apply).
Please note that applications are only open to Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
Music or Academic Scholarships
(Available to students in Years 7 to 11)
A limited number of scholarships will be awarded annually to students. For 2025, these will be for academic merit or for those who display excellence in music. Students will be expected to demonstrate a high level of ability, to uphold the College values: seek wisdom, act justly, love mercy and walk humbly, and to be committed to involvement and participation in the life of the College community.
Applications are closed.
Opportunity Bursary
A limited number of Opportunity Bursaries are available to students who would perhaps otherwise be unable to attend or continue at Lake Joondalup Baptist College due to their family’s financial circumstances. All recipients will be expected to display the values of the College: seek wisdom, act justly, love mercy and walk humbly, to be consistent in their endeavour towards their educational pursuit, and to demonstrate their willingness to contribute to the life of the College community.
Financial Assistance Bursary
We understand that families sometimes find themselves in situations where a change in their financial circumstances could not reasonably have been foreseen at the time of entry into the College. The granting of a Financial Assistance Bursary would be subject to a ‘needs assessment’ to be conducted by the College with the family. A Financial Assistance Bursary application may be submitted at any time.
A scholarship and bursary application may also be submitted at any other time and will be retained until an opportunity becomes available. Scholarships and bursaries are awarded by the Principal of Lake Joondalup Baptist College, in consultation with the Executive Manager of Business and Finance and at the discretion of the College Board of Directors. They are non-public, confidential awards and the identity of recipients will not be disclosed in any public forum. Bursaries and scholarships will generally equate to a 25% discount on the total applicable tuition fees and can be up to 50% in exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of the College.
The College’s expectation is that applicants and their families will be able to express and establish their dedication to actively supporting the mission, purpose and values of the College.
*All scholarships operate within the College’s Enrolment Policy and are dependent on enrolment places being available. All external applicants are required to complete a Registration of Interest prior to an application being considered.
